WOODSTOCK
AREA
Woodstock is an old farm town that grew. In the core of the city, youll find the grand, large-scale architecture that is part of the fabric of Canadas past. Beyond that centre, the changes in materials, style, and size of homes reflect the changes in our lives over time. Still, with all those years of growth, the freeways are only a few minutes at most from anywhere in town. We have loads of parkland, excellent sports facilities, theatre (both live and film), the beautiful Pittock Lake with its rowing club, a stately old Library, the Art Gallery,
. more.
With the legislated green belt causing industry to look beyond the Toronto area, and with the coming of Toyota to our city, we know that changes are on the way. People are noticing that the intersection of the 401 and the 403 is southern Ontarios best location possible.
We know, too, that our little corner of the world lacks the hustle and bustle of todays big-city world. We are a quieter, less demanding community than some, and we hope to avoid the sharp edges that seem to go along with growth. Taking the time to say hello means a lot, and most of us will retain the civilities of our small town in the hopes that Woodstock will still be Woodstock, no matter what size.
